Let’s open the first Teeme Kohvi coffee studio in the Baltics!User's  Teemekohvi OÜ project in the category Education

Introduction

Despite the constantly growing coffee market and high global level of coffee culture, at present, for the 27 million people living in Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Sweden, and Norway, there is not a single place where one can obtain professional barista certification!

We - Dmitri, Elya, and Anton, friends and classmates, are realising a dream of creating a unique coffee educational space right here, in the heart of Tallinn. Our project "Teeme Kohvi" is not a coffee shop, but a coffee studio, where everyone can deepen their knowledge in the art of barista, thanks to the first certified courses from the Specialty Coffee Association (refer to a more detailed description of the Association at the end of the campaign text). in the Baltic and Scandinavian countries.

We have already found the perfect location and are ready to start implementing our idea, but we need your support to do so. Want to learn more? Let's dive into the world of coffee together!

Our Mission

"Teeme Kohvi" is a new format coffee studio for the Baltic countries. Our goal is to elevate the level of coffee culture in the region by offering professional courses and masterclasses for both professional baristas and everyday coffee enthusiasts and connoisseurs. We aim to create a community where everyone can enrich their knowledge and skills and share their passion for this beverage.

Why Do We Need Your Support?

We already have a location and a ready lease contract, but we need your help to set up the studio and obtain the necessary licenses for conducting courses. Your investments will help us acquire equipment, furniture, and secure certificates for training according to the Specialty Coffee Association standards. In appreciation from us, you can choose one of ten coffee gifts to suit any taste!

Who Are We?

Hello, we are Dmitri, Elya, and Anton, three friends with diverse life paths, united by a common passion for coffee. Dmitri is a veteran of the coffee industry with 11 years of experience, his magic with espresso has won the hearts of thousands of customers in Tallinn. He is not just a barista, but a true coffee maestro. Under his leadership, Coffee Room and La La Lunch in Tallinna Majanduskool have become a cozy place where every cup of coffee brings joy. Annually, he makes over 25,000 cups of coffee, each revealing the magic of true espresso.

Elya is a talented designer with international experience, inspired by the architecture and design of Europe's finest coffee shops. With her touch, our coffee studio will be a place where aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand.

Anton is a scientist and entrepreneur with deep knowledge in biology and business. He sees endless potential in coffee, both as a science and an art, and is ready to share his knowledge, helping "Teeme Kohvi" become a world-class coffee education center in our region.

Together, we are creating "Teeme Kohvi" - a place where science meets the art of making perfect coffee!

How Will the Funds Be Used?

  1. Renovation and Design of the Coffee Studio (€3,400): Investments in renovation and design will create a visually appealing and functional space that meets quality standards. These funds will cover the cost of materials and labor of professional workers to ensure durability and comfort for both students and staff.

  1. Obtaining Coffee Trainer License and Certificate (SCA) (€7,000): These funds will provide our coffee studio with the necessary documents to conduct accredited SCA courses. This includes the cost of training for the trainer, examination fees, and licensing fees.

  1. General Equipment and Furniture (€8,700): This budget is for creating an attractive and practical atmosphere that will be the heart of our coffee community. It includes everything needed to equip the coffee preparation area and a comfortable rest area for guests. Modern kitchen equipment will allow us to include not only drinks but also baking in the training.

  1. Coffee Equipment (€6,900): These funds will enable us to equip the studio with the latest coffee equipment, which is the key for professional barista training. Various types of coffee machines and tools will not only provide the opportunity for practice on different devices, crucial for developing skills and understanding the diversity of the coffee-making process, but also allow students to gain experience corresponding to current trends and industry standards.

  1. Coffee Roaster (1 kg) (€3,900): This tool will allow our coffee studio to include in the educational program an understanding of the coffee roasting process. Students and guests will be able to learn how different roasting levels affect the flavour profile of coffee and learn to adapt the process to create the perfect balance. This will not only expand their knowledge but also cover the entire coffee-making process, from bean to cup, making their education comprehensive.
