Art to the Municipality - Rummu

Who am I?

I am an 18-year-old Estonian artist, who is mostly known under the name MintyShrimp in Tallinn. I finished 12th grade at the Tallinn German Gymnasium in June. Art has always played a big role in my life, I mostly create it with the help of a computer and a tablet, but I also draw on paper, paint, customise textiles and do tattooing in a studio. My interest in wall paintings appeared last year; by now, some larger wall paintings have been completed with the support of several Tallinn youth centers in skate parks or inside the youth centers.

Idea for a mural project - "Art to the Municipality"

Looking at gray and boring walls, I have come to the idea of making them more interesting. From there, the idea developed to start making murals and create the project "Art to the Municipality".

After long negotiations with the Lääne-Harju rural municipality government, I finally got an object in the small town of Rummu - a brick concrete building. The wall painting planned in the small town of Rummu would be the first wall painting of my project, and the time of implementation would remain at the middle of July with the current position. The sketches for the wall painting have already been approved by the municipality, all that remains is to find the funds. That is why I turn to you through Hooandja.

How much money do I ask and why?

The amount to be collected would be 700 euros, of which 300 euros would go to the purchase of the necessary tools and spray paints, 250-300 euros to the printing of gifts or gift painting materials, and the remaining 100-150 euros to transport and other costs.

This project would allow me to bring the beauty of street art closer to the Estonian people through wall paintings, make gray and boring walls more exciting and give me a momentum for new and more exciting wall paintings in the future within the project "Art to the Municipality".

The next wall painting is already waiting to be created in Järvakandi, but before that I have to prove myself in Rummu. By supporting the project, you are supporting the future of mural art in Estonia.
