Rauno Pella’s debut album “When Light Embraced The Dark” will see the light in the fall of 2014 and Rauno has constantly worked hard on the recording and writing process for more than 5 years. During that period he has recorded 16 compositions – 13 of them are own written songs and 3 of them are covers of bands such as Cynic, Anathema & Devin Townsend Project.
At the moment the pre-production phase is finished and Rauno is keeping himself busy with recording session for drums, bass guitars, vocals and his good friend and school mate Adrian Rannut is constantly working on string arrangements.
This musical project is extremely Epic and involves lot’s of guest musicians from 3 different countries – Estonia, Sweden and Netherlands.
We have 4 drummers, 2 bass guitarists and a great number of different instrumentalists and singers for instance: Anneke van Giersbergen on vocals – she has performed with some of the leading songwriters and artists in the Progressive Rock/Metal genre such as Devin Townsend, Within Temptation, Anathema etc. On Drums for two songs we have Morgan Agren, who has recorded with Fredrik Thordendal (Meshuggah) and also played with Frank Zappathe legendary Estonian Jazz Pianist Kristjan Randalu, Marek Talts (guitar), Mairo Marjamaa (soprano Saxophone), Indrek Palu (electric violin), Raimond Virsa (electric guitar), Heikko Remmel (double bass) + a huge number of different singers that are well known in Estonia – Teele Viira, Tuuli Rand, Karl-Erik Taukar, Oliver Timmusk, Liis Reisner etc.
The financial support will be used for payments of:
1. Album Recording
2. Mixing & Mastering
3. Artwork and printing of 1000 CDs
The presentation concert will take place at Rock Club Tapper in Tallinn on the 10th of October.
All the awards for packers will be delivered by post service.
