Sat Naam
I am Sukhdev Kaur Khalsa from the Guru Ram Das Institute and Ashram in Rajamaa, a growing off-grid yoga community in Estonia. We are located 25 km from Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. This ashram started 10 years ago and has been built around the teachings of Kundalini Yoga, Sikh Dharma and the Khalsa Spirit. It is a place where anyone is welcome to experience these teachings, do sadhana, visit the Gurdwara, do voluntary work (Seva), to spend the day in nature, help out in the vegetable garden, practice yoga, and be around likeminded people.
We are an off-grid, sustainable community bringing nature and yogic lifestyle together in this Ashram. Ashram means a place to learn through work - to practice the yogic philosophy and become more conscious about yourself and your habits. This year, in 2022, the ashram is going to have its 10th birthday and we want to celebrate it together with the community in a way in which everyone can participate.
The idea is to bring to the ashram one of Estonia's most iconic symbols in every little town and village: a community/village swing, which represents the heart and the center of the community. This is a swing which is used by a group of people. Swinging in it is a lot of fun, children love it, adults too. It creates connection and a relaxed group energy!
We want to let everyone from the local and global community participate in bringing this swing to the ashram as the center and the symbol of the community, the heart of our sangat here, as well as support with other ongoing projects of the ashram for this year.
And of course, I want to remind everybody is welcome to join in any of the activities that we have at the ashram, come and see what the community is all about and spend a beautiful time with elevated spirits or participate in any of our events, courses or teacher trainings at the ashram.
Target sums:
- 1200€: Support for 50% of the purchase of the community swing.
- 2400€: Support for 100% of the purchase of the community swing.
- 3400€: Support for 100% of the purchase of the community swing and a new climbing structure for the children's playground.
- 4500€: Support for 100% of the purchase of the community swing, new climbing structure for the children's playground and reconstruction of the summer shelter's roof.
- 7000€: Support for 100% of the purchase of the community swing, new climbing structure for the children's playground, reconstruction of the summer shelter's roof and purchase of furnaces and insulation for two cabins.
