We are publishing a deck of cards "Emotions. Pictures. Words." where poetic expressions of thought are combined with emotions depicted in pictures.
The idea started from our own need to express our emotions in words with nuance. We realized that our habitual everyday vocabulary is very limited and we wanted to create a tool to better express ourselves.
Since feelings are very diverse and people experience them differently, we want to create a set that supports self-expression, is inspiring and encourages individual thinking. That is why we decided on the combination of word-picture-poetry.
The publication consists of 81 different cards.
Every card has an expression describing emotions and states of mind and is illustrated with a separate picture and the additional meaning is revealed by a short poem.
Emotions are divided into three categories: mild, neutral and severe. This division makes the deck a good tool for professionals working with emotions.
The card deck has an Estonian sister-deck "Lootustuuline eneseleidja" (Hope-Swept Inner Alchemist). The English version "The deck of cards: Emotions. Pictures. Words" is a translation from Estonian. The delicately nuanced translation is made by Maarja-Liis Loo.

I have always loved creativity.
Words play a very important role for me, next to silence. Words..are depth. The language of thought and feelings. Reflection of the soul. Discovery. Falling in love.
I have published two poetry books "Puudutatav" (2018) and "Ma hingan Su armastust" (2021), in addition to the youth book "Tegemata tegmised" (2024, co-authored by Janno Puusepp). And my third poetry book will see the light of day in the new year 2025.
In addition, I have written several interludes for various events and lyrics for both soloists and choirs.

Ülle Ottokar
I have been working as an artist since graduating from Pallas University of Applied Sciences. I like playing with colors and lines. I create images, because for me it is another language to express myself.
I have made murals, drawings, illustrations. I love collaborative projects and synergy. I have organized my own author exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions.
Of my recent works, I am most proud and happy about illustrating Piret Põldver's poetry collection "Tõmme", which was recently published at the end of 2024.
The images in the card deck are my creations, from the very first drawings in my teenage years to the illustrations made this year.
