BFM music video "HUOJUVATORNI"User's  Roosa Kinnunen project in the category Music

What kind of film are we making?

We are creating a short film/music video set in a bar where a diverse group of characters from different social classes come together to play bingo. The characters are carrying the emotional weight of capitalism, failure, and the desire for change despite a lack of motivation. Each player is determined to win, collecting points to boost their status. As the game progresses, the competition intensifies, tensions rise, and the story takes a turn, leading to a fight.

Who are we?

We are a group of film students at BFM, Tallinn University. Our team includes members from Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Colombia, Ukraine, and Moldova. Our diverse backgrounds fuel our creative process, pushing us to explore unique narratives and bold visual styles. Our desire is to explore meaningful themes, evoke emotions and spark conversations.

How we want to do it

We are using a lot of continuous camera movement, either with dolly shots or handheld. The video starts at a slow pace, gradually building up as emotions and tension rise. The intensity increases as the story unfolds. Choreography is a key element in our fight scene, with our fight coordinator and stunt team ensuring dynamic action.

Why do we need the money

We have received a budget from our school but unfortunately it's not enough to cover everything we need for the project. In particular, we require additional funds to cover essential expenses such as travel costs, renting a filming location, purchase of necessary props and costumes, cover fuel costs for transport and provide food for our team.

Your support will make a big difference in helping us bring this culturally significant and socially reflective project to life. Every contribution is crucial, and we deeply appreciate any support you can offer.
